John McGinnis has been the PGA Golf Pro at Somerset Country Club since 1995. John grew up in Ligonier, which is where he held his first professional golf position. John became Ligonier Country Club's first Assistant Golf Pro. He eventually relocated to Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown before arriving in Somerset. John took the position as Somerset Country Club Golf Pro, where he is responsible for daily golf operations as well as managing the pro shop. John is also the Somerset High School Golf Coach. In 1998 and 2007 he was honored as Coach of the Year.
